Here I Am Reading Your Sucky Poetry Again

I’m telling you this now because I want to say it all at once:
Your poems suck.
Every one of them.
You haven’t written a single line of poetry worth reading.

You think all your power words and adjectives are amazing.
Well, they’re not.
You tell me that Ferlinghetti read your poetry and loved it.
He was just humoring you, he thought it sucked too.

Your metaphors are clichés.
Your self-indulgence is exhausting.
Your rhymes are trite and inappropriate.
You don’t care anything about form.

If you want to write good poetry
then stop writing poetry
and go do something else
for a long time.
